As a grower or advisor, ProCheck not only provides you with an up-to-date searchable database of pesticide products but also acts as a self audit system when used in conjunction with Muddy Boots' CropWalker software.
What is ProCheck?
ProCheck is an interactive pesticide database. As with all Muddy Boots' software products ProCheck has been inspired by industry needs. This means that ProCheck has been designed with the help of agronomists and growers and modifications are based on the continual feed-back from users.
When released in 1999 ProCheck was the first comprehensive electronic pesticide database to be seen by UK growers. Today it contains over 5000 pesticide products along with data relating to their specific crop usage. This data is extensive and includes product dose rates, harvest intervals, environmental data including LERAPs, operator information including special wash out and disposal procedures, and pest/weeds/diseases controlled.
It identifies and reports on the legal, operational and environmental restrictions relating to agrochemical use. In addition to this, ProCheck has a unique search engine facility that allows the user to view pesticides according to tailor made requirements.
Although ProCheck can be bought as a standalone reference package it is more commonly used as a reference and audit tool in conjunction with Muddy Boots crop management software. ProCheck comes as standard with the agronomist package CropWalker or as a bolt-on to CropWalkerFM (Farmer Module).
Do I need to be in the office to use it?
No. Updates to ProCheck are released on a quarterly basis and updates to the actual product database are available weekly through the web-site although you do not need to be permanently connected to use it.
What can ProCheck do for me?
As well as providing the user with a wide range of technical product information, ProCheck can search for products by whatever criteria the user chooses. Whether they are technical or environmental, it is an invaluable aid for pesticide selection.
Does it contain Off-Labels?
ProCheck contains all SOLA information and a copy of each Specific Off-label Approval Data Sheet can be viewed and printed off.
How often is it updated?
Updates for the pesticide product database are available to download on a weekly basis. The ProCheck program itself is updated quarterly.
