Muddy Boots in Mexico
Muddy Boots recently attended the annual SQF International
Conference in Guadalajara, Mexico. As a strategic partner through the provision of IT solutions to the SQF (Safe, Quality Food) global audit program, Muddy Boots were intrigued at some of the issues facing that part of the western world.
Sales Director, Jeff Goulding, reported, “The US is seeing continuing food safety issues and food related illness outbreaks with recalls becoming larger and more protracted. There is still a serious lack of consumer confidence, and with a growing increase in media attention an increasing Congressional desire to ‘solve the problem’. Product surveillance and testing are getting better, resulting in an increase in the discovery of issues, and effectively compounding the problem. The SQF 3rd party certification scheme, supported by Muddy Boots’ Quickfire solution, delivers a robust program which is at the forefront of safety and quality assurance solutions for the global food industry”.
