Muddy Boots sees the launch of SQF Quickfire!
In early 2008 Muddy Boots was
commissioned by The SQF Institute to
develop their new audit management and
data capture solution (SQF Quickfire).
With the goal of improving the
efficiency of food safety audits, the
system, which went live in January of
this year, will drive consistency in the
SQF Program.
SQF Quickfire offers greater integration
opportunities with other management
databases, an important step toward the
harmonisation of global food safety
systems. This significant development
sets the SQF Program apart from other
similar schemes and demonstrates a
commitment to maintaining and developing
the SQF Certified Program as a Global
Food Safety Initiative Standard.
All users of SQF Quickfire including
suppliers, certification bodies,
auditors and retailers will benefit from
a more manageable and accessible audit
process and greater visibility of audit
results. New members can register and
pay for the service online and gain
access to the system through a secure
login from the SQF website, meaning that
auditors can access certification
information wherever they are in the
world, day or night.
The monitoring of food safety standards
rests on the ability to capture accurate
and timely information. This is
delivered through PAF technology – an
integral part of SQF Quickfire. PAF
(portable audit format) a recent
innovation by Muddy Boots is cost
effective, lightweight and ideal for the
collection of large volumes of audit and
self assessment data in a standard
format. PAF brings with it a new
streamlined global audit process for SQF
as they are now able to generate audits
to send to anyone, anywhere around the
world.
The Safe Quality Foods Initiative (SQFi)
, a division of the Food Marketing
Institute, manages the SQF Program, a
fully integrated food safety and quality
management protocol. SQF certification
means that a grower, producer or
manufacturer is in compliance with
international, regulatory and other
specified standards. This certification
ensures that food has been produced,
prepared and handled according to the
highest possible standards.
