Pearce Seeds choose CropWalker from Muddy Boots
|
With a reputation across Southern England as the local experts in agronomy, Pearce
Seeds have a wide knowledge of seeds, fertilisers and agrochemicals. Pearce Seeds
advise and supply products covering many aspects of crop production to farmers across
Southern England, and are set to boost this advisory service by adopting CropWalker
from Muddy Boots. CropWalker will not only maintain the vast majority of the functionality
of the bespoke Crop Management System previously operated by Pearce Seeds but will
deliver numerous additional benefits including automatic auditing of all pesticide
recommendations. This added functionality brings with it assurances which:
- Reduce the risk of non-compliance through illegal pesticide applications
- Eliminate accidental applications of non-preferred/banned products
- Ensure crops can be supplied to the intended destination
The sale includes 12 CropWalker licences plus a CropWalker DMS data consolidation
system. DMS will provide Pearce Seeds with powerful data analysis capability on
the crop data captured across the whole agronomy team. It also provides the reassurance
of automatic data backups.
Ken Tuffin, Managing Director at Pearce Seeds says “Pesticide choice is increasingly
difficult to navigate and meticulous planning is required to ensure all environmental
and regulatory issues are met. Using CropWalker to produce detailed recommendations
and records will remove pressure in this crucial area of the business, giving us
the freedom to focus on other key aspects of our agronomy service.”
Pearce Seeds was founded almost 40 years ago by
Michael Pearce as a seeds and agronomy business serving customers in Dorset and
Somerset. For further information visit
